For a long time, we complained about how easy FFXI had become (me, especially). Most things in the game needed only 3-4 people to do, and that was okay, but then I started to miss the good ol' days of needing entire alliances to kill PWs and AVs and what not. So I would cry my Taru-self to sleep at nights, hoping and praying that one day, an actual challenging mob would come our way.

They were boring times indeed.

Then one day, like a crazed prophesier, I predicted the day would come where you couldn't just throw Apocalypse zombies at something for the eventual win. A day where strategy was again necessary! My LS mates kicked and spit on me for my blasphemy; they threw stones at me and kicked mud in my face for my beliefs - but I knew the truth. Oh, yes, my friends, that day would come. And now, it is here... and the screenshots to prove it!





Now, the actual difficulty of defeating the mobs isn't the issue - oh no, the issue is trying to defeat them, while also capping lights. We do want some of that delicious VW loot, after all.

Sometimes, due to the more difficult content such as what you saw above, an everyday, average man is called upon to deliver greatness. A commonplace, nothing-special, type of man, like Plexiglas - called forth to rise from mediocrity. To leave behind his run-of-the-mill persona and join the elite!

I took a few screenshots of our latest Voidwatch adventures. Aside from being much more challenging, these fights are also loads more fun.

The screenshots include the following: Radec, our first BLM with Comet, dropping what looks like a huge turd on the VW Diremire. The Tiamat clone in Ifrit's Cauldron. The lame Scorpion in QSC. The doom-aura'd Uragnite in Kuftal. And the needle-spamming Cactuar and his cactuar babies. We also did the Ochu-thing in Yhoat but I didn't take a screenshot.

We've been busy in Abyssea working on more Empyrean weapons, bringing our linkshell total to 11! Here's our newest weapons!

It's been a great holiday season for us! Lots of time has been spent in the various Abyssea zones obtaining different Empyrean gear and weapons.

We've also killed Absolute Virtue several times, spent time in Walk of Echos and revisited Dynamis zones for trials. (Dynamis is quite different at level 90 I must say.)

So far we've finished 5 Empyrean weapons. I'd like to give a big congrats to everyone!

It's been another month jam packed full of both new and old content. Both Abyssea and Walk of Echos we do on a regular schedule now. Walk of Echos we do chambers 1,2,3 and 5; and hoping that 4 and 6 will open soon. Abyssea has been a rotation of the 3 zones; killing everything from the smaller NMs and VNMs to the sub-bosses and bosses.We've killed Odin a couple more times, King Behemoth, have done many rounds of Wyrm and Turtle KS99, and lots of VNMs as well.
